Sound Installation

Responding to the architecture of the space and previous use as a discount retail unit.
Motion sensors removed from ceramic chirping bird ornaments and then hidden throughout the stairs, mezzanine space, and roof. The sound activated by the passing viewer filled up the space with a chorus of birds singing, over time the mechanisms begin to fail and the sounds become mechanical and more artificial.
