The mugs used as a prop, a pretence for appearing casual, yet the images are anything but; the pose, the sculpted bodies, and who is taking the camera photo for these men who present themselves as objects to be desired or admired?
Referencing both Narcissus and Religious icon art of the sacrament, the ecstatic vision of God looking up towards heaven becomes an ecstatic vision of oneself.
The domestic background in the images has been photoshopped out of the screenshots, a mirror image created, and laser cut onto the back of the gold acrylic.
